Watch the 2024 Commencement Ceremonies Undergraduate Ceremony Masters & Doctoral Ceremony Watch the UB Commencement Livestreams: Undergraduate Ceremony Masters & Doctoral Ceremony Graduation tickets Guest tickets for our May 6 th undergraduate and masters/doctoral ceremonies, held at the Hartford Healthcare Amphitheater, will be available for in-person pickup starting Monday, April 10, 2023 through Friday, May 5, 2023. Each graduating student can claim up to 6 tickets for their guests. Graduates do not need a ticket to attend the ceremony. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your tickets please email us @ ubcommencement@bridgeport.edu Student Speakers Kiana-Edith Robinson of Hamden, CT, graduates with her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from University of Bridgeport’s Ernest C. Trefz School of Business. In addition to taking honors classes while studying at UB, she served as a residential assistant, community assistant to University Hall, Chief Financial Officer of the Student Government Associates, Vice President of the Accounting Club, student representative on the UB budget committee, and student advisor to the Resident Hall Association. Robinson oversaw the front desk assistants in University Hall, became a peer mentor for first-year seminar students, and participated in the VITA tax clinic. Her involvement on campus earned her the Outstanding Involvement by a Sophomore award and the Scholar Citizen award in 2023. Robinson was recently honored with the Academic Achievement in Accounting award. Kiana-Edith played on the UB softball team and earned national and conference recognition as an NCAA Division II All-American Scholar Athlete, Division II CCA Softball East Region First Team player, and All-Conference First Team player during her time on the team. She was recognized as the University of Bridgeport Scholar Athlete of the Year, and conference Scholar Athlete of the Year. She was named to the Academic All-District list due to her stellar academic performance. Kiana-Edith’s future career plans include a summer internship as a tax intern with the number one accounting firm in the world, Deloitte, and transitioning to a full-time role in the fall with the accounting firm CliftonLarsonAllen. She plans on earning her master’s in taxation while taking the Certified Public Accountant exam in the fall. Nicole Caruso of West Hartford, CT, graduates with a master’s in Public Health with a concentration in Global Health. Nicole previously earned her bachelor’s in Dental Hygiene in 2018 from the University of New Haven, where she played NCAA Division II women’s soccer. In addition to working full-time as a dental hygienist, she has interned at the Navajo Nation Reservation, volunteered with the Mission of Mercy to provide free dental care to uninsured and underserved populations in the state, and created dental-themed blog articles for marketing websites. Nicole’s future career plans include pursuing a career as a dental hygiene educator and working with a dental care mobile health vehicle to provide care to those most in need of affordable and accessible care.
